Configure Custom Tiles
A custom tile on the Home page can display or link to an application or web site.
Examples:
- Display a link to HR policies.
- Embed a web page that shows the local weather or news.
- Embed a corporate page that reminds employees of open enrollment start dates.
- Use Analytics metrics and KPIs to show Overtime and Absence statistics. - Show employees their accrual balance.

Configure a custom tile
Use this procedure for general instructions on configuring a custom tile. See Tile types for more information on available tile types and how to configure them.

> Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Custom Tiles. - Create, edit, or remove a tile as follows:
- Kliknij Dotknij Create
. Enter a unique Name. - Select a tile. Kliknij Dotknij Edit
. In Save Changes to, select one of the following: - Save changes everywhere that the named entity is used — Save the changes to all installations of the current tile.
- Save as a new named entity — Save the changes as a new tile.
- Select a tile. Kliknij Dotknij Delete
. Kliknij Dotknij Yes to confirm.
- Kliknij Dotknij Create
- Enter a Label to display at the top of the tile.
- In Tile Type, select one of the following:
- Embedded Content
- External URL
- Embedded Content
- Overtime Analysis
- Absence Analysis
- My Accrual
- Analytics View
- Internal URL
- Complete the configuration for your selected tile type. See Tile types for detailed information.
- Kliknij Dotknij Save.
- Set up the display profiles and home pages of the people who need to see the custom tile:
See the Assign a Home Page to a Display Profile and the Edit a Home page topics.
- Log in as the person and make sure that you see the custom tile on the home page.
- Repeat for other people.
Tile types
UKG Pro Workforce Management™ provides several tile types: Embedded Content, External URL, Overtime Analysis, Absence Analysis, My Accrual, Analytics View, Internal URL. The requirements for specifying a custom tile type vary across types.

- Icon: Leave it blank.
- Content Provider: Leave it blank.
- URL: Enter the uniform resource locator as a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) to the location of the content. The URL must be an absolute path and use HTTPS.
- Navigation: Optionally select to display navigation details in the bottom-right corner of the tile. Then, configure the following:
Navigation Type: Select the type of display to show the embedded content. Select one of New Tab to open the content in a new browser tab, or Navigate to display a link to the content.

- Navigation Menu: Enter a label for the menu.
- Navigation Label: Enter a label for the tile.
- Navigation URL: Enter the uniform resource locator. Normally, this is the same address as in URL.
- URL: Enter the uniform resource locator as a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) to the location of the specific application or web site.
- URL Text: Enter user-friendly text to display instead of the URL.
- Description: (Optional) Enter a description of the tile.
The Overtime Analysis Tile allows a manager to monitor the use of overtime, within their primary location, to quickly identify issues that could lead to unwanted labor costs. Analytics must be configured to use this tile.
- Target: Select the predefined target of the primary metric or KPI that is displayed in the tile.
- Threshold: Select the predefined threshold of the primary metric or KPI that is displayed in the tile.
- Dataview: Select the Dataview to link to from the tile.
The Absence Analysis Tile allows a manager to monitor unplanned absenteeism within their primary location to quickly identify issues that could lead to productivity challenges. Analytics must be configured to use this tile.
- Target: Select the predefined target of the primary metric or KPI that is displayed in the tile.
- Threshold: Select the predefined threshold of the primary metric or KPI that is displayed in the tile.
- Time Period: Select the a standard time period or date range for the data that is displayed in the tile.
- Dataview: Optionally select the Dataview to which the tile links.
The My Accruals tile allows an employee to see their accrual balances directly on the Home page. An administrator can create multiple My Accrual tiles to assign to each employee and so that a manager can view accruals for many employees at the same time.
- Select Accrual Codes for Tile Display (max 10): Select the Accrual Codes from the list that you want to display in the tile, for a maximum of 10 codes.
- Balance Type: Select the Available or Current Vested Balance
- Call To Action: Optionally, select for the Request Time-Off button to appear in the tile. Subsequently, if the user clicks the button in the tile, the Request Time-Off panel opens.
- Select Additional Data (Select up to 4): Select from a curated list of metrics to be displayed in the tile. The administrator can change the metric names to reflect their workplace metrics.
An Analytics Viewer Tile is a custom tile that is defined by an administrator that allows managers to monitor critical information within their primary location from the Analytics component. Each Analytics Viewer tile to which a manager has been assigned provides quick access to data for a primary KPI or metric and its supporting KPIs and metrics. If targets have been defined for the KPI and assigned to each user's primary location, the manager can see an indication of their performance.
A trend chart or job chart can be displayed, depending on the configuration, to allow the manager to interpret the data visually. The manager can change the time period or location that is displayed in the viewer as needed.
Notes:
- Analytics must be configured for data to be visible in an Analytics Viewer tile.
- A trend chart always returns data for the last four weeks by week, regardless of the time period that is selected by the user.
- Custom-defined labels that are used in the tile are not translated. These labels cannot be translated using the Translation Customization Toolkit.
- Fields:
- Primary KPI/Metric: Select a primary KPI or metric from all available KPIs and metrics and define the label that is displayed by the tile. You can select only one primary KPI or metric.
- Target: If a target has been defined for the Primary KPI/Metric, it is automatically selected in this field.
- Threshold: If a threshold has been defined for the target, it is automatically selected in this field.
- Secondary KPI/Metrics: Select up to four supporting KPIs or metrics from all available KPIs and metrics and define the labels that are displayed by the tile. You can also define the display order of the supporting KPIs or metrics.
- Chart Type: Select the type of chart - Job or Trend - that the tile will display for the selected primary KPI or metric.
- Dataview: Optionally select the Dataview to which the tile links. The admininistrator must ensure that the users who receive an Analytics Viewer tile on their Home page have an assigned Dataview Profile that includes the selected Dataview.
- Time Period: Select the a standard time period or date range for the data that is displayed in the tile.
- URL: Enter the relative path of the internal resource you want to make available on the tile. For example: /timekeeping/myTimecard.
- URL Text: Enter user-friendly text to display instead of the URL.
- Description: (Optional) Enter a description of the tile.
